National Specialty Show Catalog Advertising Policy

Catalog Advertising is accepted under the following guidelines:
--LCA and NSC will not endorse any product.
--No advertisements will be accepted from:

    --any organization or party that promotes behavior unacceptable to the LCA.
    --political parties, public office candidates, or those promoting ballot issues.
    --personal or single ads; ads are accepted for goods and services only.
--Ads must clearly identify the product/service provided and the name of the company or person advertising.
--Ad space is limited in the National Specialty Show Catalog, and at times there may be a waiting list. When ad space fills, advertisers will be contacted with the option of another size ad (standard pricing applies), or full refund.
--Accepting your ad or payment does not constitute a contract to publish. We reserve the right to limit advertising space or cancel any advertisement at any time, for any reason deemed appropriate by our Production Staff. Payments for --A half page ad each for LeoRescue, Leos in Need Rescue, and Leonberger Health Foundation will be offered at no cost to the organization. Additional ad space may be purchased by these organizations at a 20% discount.
--Next year's National Specialty group may purchase ad space at a 20% discount.
--Ads placed by the LCA Board of Directors (as a board, not individuals) may be purchased at a 20% discount.
--Ads placed by the next LCA Specialty Committee may be purchased at a 20% discount.
--Unless special ad is purchased, i.e. back cover, ad placement is by the Production Staff for best visual contrast on the page. Due to layout constraints, we cannot guarantee specific requests for page or location, but requests will be considered.
--Special ads (i.e. back cover, inside cover, etc.) are assigned on a first-come basis. Payment must be received for consideration.
--Hard copy photos will be returned only if accompanied by a self-addressed stamped envelope.
--Submission of photos to the National Specialty Show Catalog is understood as one-time use.

--All ads must be accompanied by the "Advertising Submissions Form." This form can be downloaded at: Ad Submissions Form or contact us for a copy by mail.

DESIGN SERVICES

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
If you prefer to develop and submit the ad yourself, please follow these general guidelines:
--Ads will be printed with a 4 point rule line around the edges. If your ad design includes a decorative border, place it inside the ad space.
--Ads should be submitted as a high resolution PDF.
--All fonts should be converted to outlines (or, if that is not possible, embedded).
--For best results, create your PDF file by first creating a postscript file then using Acrobat Distiller.
--The page size of your ad should be the actual final ad size. Document size must match ad size using the dimensions listed.
--Attach all linked files (TIFF, EPS) utilized, even if they are embedded within the file.

For B/W ads: create your document either in grayscale mode or using 100 K. Do not use CMY (rich black) to make your black elements.

For our reference, please include a black & white hard copy of the ad as it should appear. You may fax, mail or email.

If you would like your photos, disks and CDs returned, please include a stamped, self-addressed envelope.

Photograph, Images & Graphics Standards:
--Photos should be clear and focused, with the subject dominating the foreground of the picture.
--For best results, photos submitted electronically should be 300 dpi and as an EPS, JPG or TIF format. Ideally photos should be at least 3 inches x 5 inches.
--Please do not cut your photograph; instead let us know how you would like the image cropped and we will crop it electronically.
--Photos or slides may be mailed or e-mailed to the address below.
--Please note that the 2008 LCA National Catalog Team accepts no responsibility for verifying your rights to use the images you submit. By submitting the images, you imply rights to use the rights to the image.
